Imperial War Museum North calls up Fido PR

Imperial War Museum North

The Imperial War Museum North has hired Fido PR in a bid to continue to attract more families to its award-winning museum this summer.

During the four-month project Fido will promote the museum’s Captured: The Extraordinary Life of Prisoners of War exhibition, highlighting the interactive displays to a family audience during the summer and autumn school holidays.

The PR team is also tasked with highlighting the museum’s free family friendly activities, object-handling sessions and performances by generating national and regional coverage.

Laura Sullivan, joint managing director at Fido PR comments: “Captured examines the experience of prisoners of war during the Second World War.  The Imperial War Museum North manages to communicate this difficult subject matter to children and families by making the exhibition as interactive as possible, we are really excited about promoting this great work and attracting even more families to enjoy everything the museum has to offer.”

Gemma Gibb, Head of Marketing and PR at Imperial War Museum North comments: “Fido’s arts and tourism experience are what attracted us to the agency, they are a results driven agency with a creativity and flair that will help us to promote the museum as a family destination.”
